We’ve been here for a long time, 36 years and counting! Consequently we have amassed a great collection of our favorite spots, old and new.
Ay Jalisco – The best family run Tex-Mex around. Just 5 minutes away with a great lunch special for $5.
Capt’n Butcher’s Seafood Grille & Marina – Fresh local seafood. Intimate location right on the Indian River.
Captain Hiram’s – Comprises both the dining and entertainment categories. It’s a really fun hang out location with different local and national music acts. It has formal inside dining, Sandbar treats outside on the river and even a fire pit. A little touristy but we love vibe and the music.
Hiokis Sushi – Although this is not qute local, it’s a 25 minute drive, it could easily be on the lop of our list. The best sushi we have ever had. And we have been going to this little Japanese treasure for a good 20 years and counting. Definitely put this on your To Do list.
Marsh Landing – Experience Old Florida Cuisine and History. Let us take you back in time to the pioneer days of Florida as you dine in our historic atmosphere. Frog legs, catfish and gator tail, fried green tomatoes and swamp cabbage are a few of the local specialties. We also have hand-cut Angus steaks, ribs, fresh seafood dishes and homemade desserts. There is something for everyone!
Sea Jasmine Thai Cuisine – Wonderful hole in the wall with authentic Thai selections. Unique and genuine. A very special experience.
Siam City Sushi – This is one of the newer places in town and we love it! Finally great sushi just 5 minutes away. Small family run restaurant with excellent quality eats.
Riverside Theatre – Riverside Theatre is a non-profit, regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor’s Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists.
Vero Beach Museum – The Museum is open to the public. An admission fee is charged:Adults $10; Seniors (65yrs+) $ 9; Students with ID $5; Members, Children (17 yrs and under), and Active Military with ID receive free admission.
McLarty Treasure – Who doesn’t love stories of sunken treasure? McLarty Treasury Museum is dedicated to the 11 Spanish ships (and the recovery efforts) that sunk right off Sebastian in 1715
Earl’s Hideaway Lounge – One of our favorite hangouts. Pool, sports TV’s, juke box, live rock and blues outside in the sand bar on the weekends and the best place to meet the locals.
Tiki Bar – Flip flops only. Great spot to play a game of Corn Hole, listen to some local bands on the deck or take a long walk on the pier over the river. Highly recommended as a laid back relaxing local spot.
Riverside Theater in Vero – Caters to a wide audience. From professional Broadway productions, to local children’s play to Comedy Zone on the weekend. Intimate venue with a high-class atmosphere.
Farmer’s market Oceanside Vero Beach – Open Saturday’s mornings, loca produce, meats, coffee and baked goods.
Riverside Park Sebastian – Music events, Art fairs and a seafood fest in November. A great place to get all our local events in on the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce community calendar
